Established in 2010 and located in Kelana Square, Kelana Jaya, G13 Gallery is one of the fastest emerging contemporary art gallery operating in Kuala Lumpur today. Within 5 years, G13 Gallery has gained a favourable reputation for showcasing some of the more outstanding young upcoming talents and bringing them to the attention of the world through its active participating in regional and international art events.

Art Gallery, specializing in contemporary art in The Philippines, G13 Gallery
is pleased to bring you a group exhibition entitled “Tales from The City”.
Featuring 3 upcoming artist from both countries namely Gan Sze Hooi, Gan Tee
Sheng and Khairudin Zainudin (Malaysia) and Francis Commeyne, Kirby Roxas and
Kurt Lluch (The Philippines), this special exhibition “hopes to explore the
cultural complexities of urban condition in both countries”. Located in the
South-east Asian region, Malaysia and The Philippines have both shared and
differing histories, identities, and rituals. At the same time, the urban
experience is becoming an increasingly homogenized one in the world over.
The exhibition will be a
congregation of works on this broad theme interpreted by the artist’ individual
styles and interpretations. This exhibition will generate interesting questions
and readings which will broaden our vistas on the topic of urban living and its
many challenges as well as adventures.

be open to the public from 1st to 15th August
2015
at G13 Gallery.
